WWE Hall of Fame ballot

Last month, I asked readers to vote for which names should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame (politics aside). Much like baseball’s Hall of Fame, I said we would induct all performers who garnered at least 75% of the vote into the “very prestigious” KevinSullivanBooks.com Hall of Fame.
To say that I was shocked by the voting would be an understatement. Amazingly, only two names received enough votes to be inducted. Here’s the results, and thank you to the 963 voters. Keep in mind that voting took place immediately after Mick Foley’s induction was announced. Also, voters were allowed to vote for up to 10 names.

I’d honestly induct them all over time. Should be interesting to see the results. Some just boggle the mind on why they aren’t in. I thought Vince loved Lord Alfred Hayes?
Names not on that ballot.
Haystacks Calhoun, Paul Bearer, James E Cornette, Hillbilly Jim, The Bushwackers, Jack Tunney, Toots Mondt, Willie Gilzenberg, Ray Morgan (Capitol Wrestling & WWWF Announcer)
Toots Mondt is a great name. He should definitely be in. Lord Alfred Hayes, too.
I also echo the sentiments towards Lord Alfred. Speaking of sentimental picks, I’d quite like to see Owen, Bossman and Bulldog in one day. And remain gobsmacked Crippler Stevens isn’t already in: he seems like the type who ought to have been in there years ago. Same as Martel.
Yeah, I’d probably put in about 75% of these guys. Dino Bravo, One Man Gang, Nasty Boys, Jim Neidhart, and Earthquake probably wouldn’t get my vote.
Neidhart can go in with Bret as the Hart Foundation. Bret can get a second ring and Neidhart deserves recognition for being half of that top of the mountain tag team.
Earthquake was a beloved big man who had great feuds with Hulk Hogan, Jake the Snake (poor Damien), Money Inc and even had a fun run as Golga. May he rest in peace.
One Man Gang is underrated. He was a far better bumper and ring general than Bundy or Kamala. He had good runs in CWF, WCCW, UWF and across the Pacific. The Twin Towers versus the Mega Powers feud is probably more memorable than many WrestleMania main event feuds.
Nasty Boys…well I’d vote them into a WWE Hall of Fame before a regional star like Bullet Bob Armstrong. At least they had a big tag title moment in the WWE. Though their personalities leave something to be desired.
Dino Bravo, I’ll always remember him for his multiple Mania appearances and weight lifting record. ha
I agree on Neidhart… he should go in with Bret as the Hart Foundation. If anybody deserves two rings, it’s Bret.
The British Bulldogs should be inducted together and if Owen can’t inducted on his own… Then induct The Hart Foundation. That would include Bryan Pillar. Also If Savage is to be inducted… Then Miss Elizabeth would have to be inducted in the same year… Right?
I could see the Hart Foundation going in as a team. They were one of the best tag teams of the 1980s. I don’t know about the full faction of the 1990s, though. They weren’t around long enough for me. But individually, I could see them all going in.
Ha! Tony “what does he do?” Garea got 0%. Rikishi would love that. But a case can be made for everyone on this list. I assume that’s why guys like Mantaur and Zack Gowen were kept off of it. hehe Glad to see so much support for Lord Alfred Hayes. Should have been inducted years ago. I am really shocked to see so much support for Adrian Adonis. He’s sadly often forgotten. This would have been a great year to induct him as he was billed from New York City.
Yeah, Lord Alfred Hayes should’ve gone in a long time ago. When I was at the WWE studio everyday, people would always talk about how helpful he was to the production behind the scenes. He was always working with young producers, trying to teach them the business.
As for Adonis, I also agree. I think it’s a case of most people remembering him toward the end when he was out of shape. The majority of his career, though, he had an amazing ability for a big man. He could really go.
I’m surprised that the New Age Outlaws were so low. While not the greatest technical wrestlers they were pretty amusing and made up a fine faction of Degeneration X. Not sure that makes them hall worthy but I figured they would get more votes ala Dale Murphy in baseball.
I completely agree. If anything, they should’ve gotten more votes than the Steiner Brothers.
